Slow Roasted BBQ Pork

The flavors of our BBQ Rub slowly infuse into the pork as it roasts leaving you with juicy and flavorful fall off the bone meat. Serve it with our sweet and savory onion jam and it will become the most requested recipe of your family and friends.

Ingredients:
• 1 pork shoulder (7-10lb) bone in or deboned
• 1oz Sutter Buttes Roasting & BBQ Rub
• 1 onion, chopped
• 5-6 garlic cloves
• 2 tablespoons Sutter Buttes Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Directions:
For a 7-10lb pork shoulder, with bone or deboned. Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Wash and pat dry. Trim excess fat, if desired. Rub Sutter Buttes Roasting & BBQ Rub all over the outside and inside of the roast. Add any fresh or dried herbs to coat. Place in a roasting pan. Sautee onions and garlic cloves in olive oil, until the onions become translucent.

Stuff onions and garlic inside the roast. Bake for 1.5 hours uncovered and then cover for the remainder of time. Roast 6-8 hours or to
desired tenderness. Serve sliced or pull apart with a fork for sandwiches. Accompany with Sutter Buttes Caramelized Onion Balsamic Jam for sandwiches or sliders.
